2010 IEEE Board Applications

IEEE Board applications are now open for 2010! Seven current board members are graduating which means we need capable people to continue driving IEEE to excellence. For any questions on a position and its responsibilities, or general queries feel free to contact any of the current board members.

Application Instructions:
  • Download application here
  • Fill out the fields and questions.
  • The application deadline is Sunday 11/25 at 5pm. No late applications will be accepted
  • Elections will be held on Wednesday, 12/2 at 7pm. All applicants must attend the election and prepare a 2 minute speech. Your vision in Question 5 will be printed and made available to all attendees.
  • The IEEE Exec board reserves the right to interview applicants and/or withhold the right to participate in the election.
  • You are strongly encouraged to view the constitutional responsibilities for each position (the Constitution is available here)
  • You are also encouraged to contact current board members and learn more about the positions you are running for.
Applicant Requirements:
  • Must be IEEE National member to run.
  • Interviews may be held.
  • Applicants for President must be current EXEC members.
  • Speeches for Presidents must be three minutes long.

Two former presidents of IEEE were Knights of St. Patrick. IEEE board alums have gone on to join companies like Microsoft, Google, Northrop Grumman and have been accepted to prestigious graduate schools like MIT, Harvard and Princeton.
